The Rolly comes to North America with 2GB of built-in Flash memory instead of 1GB in the Japanese version. It also comes with 3 songs with pre-programmed dances: Sprach Zarathustra (the theme from 2001 -– A Space Odyssey), Earth Wind and Fire’s Boogie Wonderland and Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend

The Sony Rolly is now going to be available in a cool black colour with matching base to debut in Japan on April 19th. The new Rolly is priced around $400 and you can also buy a set of changeable flaps to customize your Rolly that will set you back $20.

It seems the Sony Rolly is getting even closer to a US launch and the new colours and flaps will also be available to us as well when it arrives spring or summer. The US version will sport 2 GB as opposed to the original 1 GB model and be priced between $400-$500.

Looks like the Sony Rolly is finally coming to America. The Rolly which is only available in Japan has now gone to the FCC for approval. The American release of the Sony Rolly will carry the name SEP-30BT as opposed to the Japanese version SEP-10BT. Rumors have it that it will be around spring when this robotic dancing MP3 player will be available to purchase.
